About this event
A visiting troupe from Kerala performs Nalacharitham, the best-loved Kathakali play: King Nala and Princess Damayanti, a swan messenger and a fateful game of dice. Live chenda, maddalam and vocals; a short introduction to the mudras before the show helps first-timers follow every gesture. Arrive early to watch the artists' make-up being finished in the lobby.
